Η Demy επιλέχθηκε ύστερα από εσωτερική επιλογή της ΕΡΤ να εκπροσωπήσει την Ελλάδα στον Διαγωνισμό Τραγουδιού της Eurovision που θα πραγματοποιούνταν τον Μάιο του 2017 στο Κίεβο.
Το τελικό τραγούδι θα επιλεγόταν στον ελληνικό τελικό με ψηφοφορία. Στον ελληνικό τελικό θα συμμετείχαν τα τρία υποψήφια τραγούδια, εκ των οποίων το ένα θα κέρδιζε το εισιτήριο για τον διαγωνισμό. Τα τρία τραγούδια ήταν σε σύνθεση του Δημήτρη Κοντόπουλου. Το πρώτο τραγούδι ήταν το “Angels” σε στίχους της Ρώμης Παπαδέα, το δεύτερο ήταν το “This is Love” σε στίχους της Ρώμης Παπαδέα και του John Ballard και το τρίτο ήταν το “When the morning comes around” σε στίχους του John Ballard.
Στον ελληνικό τελικό που πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 6 Μαρτίου 2017, το “This is Love” ήταν το τραγούδι που κέρδισε την ψηφοφορία του κοινού και των 9 ελληνικών επιτροπών της ομογένειας που είχαν συσταθεί ειδικά για αυτόν τον σκοπό. Αυτό ήταν τελικά το τραγούδι που εκπροσώπησε την χώρα στον Διαγωνισμό Τραγουδιού της Eurovision 2017.
